# Solana's Real Yield, Wasted
Solana is winning: it produced the most real economic value (REV) of any blockchain every month from Oct 2024 - May 2025. This signifies real users paying real money to transact on the chain. In 2024, it produced over $1.4B, and in the first half of 2025 already produced over $1B.

In theory, this REV should flow to stakers, but as we'll explore in the next section, they only receive one half. To make matters worse, that half is heavily diluted by the inflationary issuance of new tokens.
Until RevTec, there was no way for stakers to efficiently collect revenue from Solana’s booming economy. As Solana's on-chain revenues grow, due to increase trading volumes and stablecoin activity, for example, a pathway needs to exist for stakers to align their capital with Solana's growth.
